Okay before anyone goes off telling me this won't happen I understand the issues it faces and would never happen. Really this comes down to my ultimate wish

And App for the Iphone and Blackberry to aid in AH. Charts, maps and relevant data.

RIght now I have two things like this. A folder of pictures and charts already on paper and uploaded to my blackberry. For use mianly in bombing of bases and respawn times.

Sure anyone can construct that and put it on a phone but What I would like really is something that connects and gives live server updates. Who's on. Whats under attack and possibly alrets for your country, squad and friends.

So in a nutshell I wish for a smartphone app. I know it won't happen but thought I'd throw it uout there anyway.

Salun, your clipboard should already have all the maps you need. I'm also sure you can find specific downtimes on the Aces High Trainers Website. Though I would prefer many other things updated or added, I wouldn't mind seeing a 'friends list' type of deal in-game.

Otherwise, I honestly don't see why you would want to use your phone to do something that already can be done in-game.

Eskimo, I believe that he meanse for when he's not in game. As in for homework. Maybe on the bus/ train to work and looking to study something that will help in AH. In which case if it helps new people actually fight rather than HO and run (Nothing ment towards the OP) then im all for it.

I dont agree with this statement at all. You CANNOT become a better dogfighter just by reading books, you have to fly in order to do so. A 12 year old geek studying the mechanics of flying will, in no way shape or form, out fly me when I have logged 160 hours of flight time. And the HO and Running are valid dogfighting techniques, you may not like it but your not the one paying his/her 14.95

OK, I get that, but if he takes the time to learn maneuvers, surely its a step in the right direction, rather than someone who points the gun at the opposition looking for the merge, fires then runs back to base. Perfectly true that they are agreed dogfighting procedures and that I don't pay his/ her $14.95. I pay in GBP  Just because its a recognized dogfighting maneuver, doesn't mean that it is smiled upon. Its not what a lot of people look for in a fight, but it is however what they expect. I am not by any means saying make this mandatory, I'm saying make this accessible on Blackberry's so that those few who want to read up, and I Think we would all be grateful if they did, can do so while on the move in this busy day and age. I agree that it takes practice to perfect the moves but not to get the basic understanding. I stand by what I said that the ability to access the trainers manuals and other useful information form a Blackberry would be extremely usefull

eskimo, I have been playing since back in the aw days I think i started in 96.  sheep jokes have been around since then and they help pass the time, or were used to tease the other countries or friends.  and I think there'a lot of people that actually miss having the sheep in the game, and if that makes me look stupid then so be it.  btw do you ever look at pictures of ww2 airfields?  the had sheep in them.  I think they should be back, its an icon, kindda like having ponies and spitfires.

Agreed. They might get a better idea of how to employ tactics in fights by studying the accounts of actual pilots, but thats about it. Sure they could know specs for the planes and use that to know when to run and when to fight, but they'd learn that by expirence.

And HO and running ARE valid techniques. Running is used in real life, IDK about HOing, but running is a perfectly valid, and smart move. What are you doing when you try to put some distance between you and a zero to make your next attack? Running. And most people are just pissed because they don't fly planes that can out HO the ones that kill them.

When I read how to do tactics, I went and got better from it. Because I applied what I read in-game.

I know. What I'm saying is he might know WHEN to employ them, but not how to employ them, or use them efficently. The same with E managment, he might understand how to, but not know how to or to do it efficently. And he might know the specs of all the planes, GV's, the boat, all weapons and gun packages for all planes, instantly recognize each plane, and have the balistics for every gun, and number of hits required to destroy each part on each plane with every gun, but he might not know how to fly.
