Sunbatt had some time constraints for next week so we got our round 2 duel in tonight with prior approval of Bald.

R1-f4u-1A: Sunbatt
R2-f6f:       Sunbatt

Thanks for the fights.

<S> Jerkins

What Jerkins didn't say was that he was having big problems with his joystick.  After he told me, I went back and looked at the films and could see that this was true.  What do we do in a case like this?  Sol had a similiar problem.

No, I made sure to try and avoid that stall. Mensa nipped my elevator while nose down. I probably could have recovered but felt putting her into the canyon wall more appropriate.

In true 80th form and style, of course.

I had same problems last tournament when i fought Assi, I figured why slow the tournament for everyone else just so I could get a new stick without knowing when it was coming. Seems we should go with "the greater good" in this situation :salute

It's up to each player to make sure that thier computer and equipment are in working order before their duels.  I had some minor js issues in the first tourney as well but it would be a mistake to open a loophole where everyone who loses claims they had a js or computer issue so they can duel again.

I will allow this although it puts an extra onus on the winner of your duels next opponent by taking an extra day away from them in the next round.  It also puts an extra onus on me to have to assign a plane and post it outside of the normal bracket update.  In the future please clear these with me.  I'm willing to work with special circumstances but don't want this to become a habit.

36 1/2 hours till this weeks duels end and 14 to go.  Guess everyone's waiting until the final moment?

As one of the folks who had joystick "trouble" (mine is fat finger fumbling for flaps due to a new stick, not a true "problem").. I agree wholeheartedly with Bald here.  just because I chose this time to replace my stick, is no reason I should get any "special" favors of being permitted extra time,. or an extra seed, or whatnot.  I in theory could have hooked my X52 back up, but I did not want to...I want to learn the CH.  To open that door as an excuse would be completely against the spirit of this tournament.  Real pilots have equipment failures, which can cost them much more than it costs us here.  Loosing a duel to an equip failure, or failure to USE equip properly is a small price to pay.  Plus there is always the next bracket!

It wouldnt have mattered.  TJ would have slapped you with his crustless PBJ while watching a movie like he did to me.  :D
