The more I think about it, the more I think of how theres no use in signing up for the next one.  I can't make it past the first round with all these sticks..

Only way to get better is to fight any an all comers.  Doesn't mean you'll win, but that no one really dying bit helps a lot :)

Back a few months ago I would be all over this.  Now I just play the game for what it is.  I somewhat enjoy being killed by a group of guys instead of just one.  It's an odd thing actually; it's like I don't really want to get "better."  I just want to play!

Evidently neither can I but it's fun to try and I think I'll keep trying until I do.

The random player match-ups for the first rounds and the random plane selections for the first duels really open it up IMO.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I think I might have the hardest bracket.....even if i get through it I face probably batfink who came in second last tourney but it really doesnt matter because if I can hang with him for awhile Im sure I can hang w/ acouple of average sticks at the same time and maybe win :salute

I can tell you that I won't run multiple rounds simultaneously again in the future.  It's too difficult and confusing on my end when dealing with the bracket, looking for unfought duels, scanning so I can update winners, etc.  Fortunately, that's about to end as all the competitors catch up and get ready to duel to see who makes the quater-finals.  In fact, we wouldn't have multiple rounds going this week if not for this next situation:

There were two duels which didn't happen this week.  They were:

Deviant
Hurricane Mk I
Manurin

Rud3boi
N1K2-J
SkyRock

All four players posted at some point during the week in this thread.  By rule, a random draw should be held to determin who advances in each of these brackets.  Instead I am going to allow a 48 hour extension on each of these match-ups before drawing a name at random.  You have until midnight Tuesday, October 20 to get these duels in.  As soon as these duels are completed or a name is drawn at random I will post the plane for the next match-up which will need to be completed by midnight Sunday, October 25.  This means that Tongs and Qrsu will have short weeks to arrange their duels.  Let's try to keep on schedule in the future.

Related to this, I've seen a rash of posts being made on Sunday's over the past two weeks to try to arrange duels.  I'm sure people want to get their post in so they can avoid a random draw and advance.  If your not trying to arrange your duel before Sunday afternoon it's probably not going to happen.  This has me considering a change to the rules, either modifying or eliminating the "advance by posting" section.  There's no change as of now.  We'll see how this week goes.

In roster news, Rud3boi is hgtonyvi on the BBs.

This weeks byes go to:

4Fox
akELFY
B4Buster
boomerlu
RufLeak
Sunbatt

And the new bracket looks like this:

Sorry for that BaldEagl, we are about to find a slot to duel, not an easy task considering we have a 8 hour time zone difference.

I'm still waiting a confirmation from Deviant, and we should be good to go in a couple of hours.

Thank you to give us a little time extension  :salute
