P-39

Hi Mates

If any of you get the Military Channel on Cable, check out "Great Planes" tomorrow.  Great film footage on the P-39 development through military service.  Better perspective of this airplane for those not familiar with it.  This series also features a number of other WWII aircraft.

Cheers

good show, but many many inaccuracies about the plane.

But there is a lot of cool footage like you said.

Hi

Your are correct.  The doorknob that hosts this and the guy he is talking to don't seem to have any real knowledge of the airplane.  Just generalities they seemed to have heard from others.

But, some good flying footage, some of it in color, that is a treat to see.

This is true of most of the others in the "Great Plane" series.

cheers

Thanks for the heads up, as a lover of all things P-39 I tuned in again to see it, but this time I had the volume down. :)
