2nd monitor
« on: October 11, 2009, 06:18:23 AM »
i have 2 monitors on my system and i was thinking last night how it would be usefull if ah2 could make use of it.
maybe have the clipboard or radio/text on it.

i dont no if it could be done by stretching the resolution (sort of add a space to the side of the cockpit view) or if it would need to be a sparate program that ran at the same time as ah2
but i would like to make use of it somehow game wise.

This is a GREAT idea!!!  Text buffer on separate monitor?  Hell yes!!!
First I could get it out of my cockpit view, and then TURN IT OFF!!!

Nope......

But AH works with the Maxtor TripleHead 2 Go.  You know..... THe one that HTC endorses on the homepage?  Look into that.  And get a thrid monitor.   :aok

Yep, LLogann's right.

If your graphics card has a second head (connector), you can use SoftTH to spread the game across both monitors, but you'd have the screen bezels right through the middle of your cockpit, splitting your view at the most crucial spot.  That said, people on the SoftTH boards report making two monitors work on their games.  So technically it could work, but you wouldn't like the result.

Best to get a third monitor, then go with a TH2Go, as LLogann suggested, or if you have 2 gfx cards already onboard, keeping using SofTH, and spread the game across three screens.  I'm able to move the clipboard well away from my main view; anywhere on the three screens that I want in fact, same with the text and chat panes.  But in practice though, I keep the clipboard on my main monitor; just out of habit.
