Just curious if there are any on these forums who are former shipmates aboard the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. I was aboard from 1991 to 1995. Operations Department, EMO Branch, Test Equipment Calibration and Repair.
If there are any former "Big John" squids here... when were you aboard? What department? Ship's company or Air wing? etc.
For those who may be interested... Big John is now sitting in the old Philadelphia Navy Yard about 15 minutes from where I live, being mothballed. No firm plans on what will happen to her yet. Being turned into a museum in Boston is still pretty much conjecture at this point.
