awesome day! first flight ever
« on: October 11, 2009, 03:50:59 PM »
well I made it back alive :aok

what a ride,  I took off, I controlled the plane (for the most part)  flying level for a bit, taken her through two rolls,  and a loop,

all of that was quit easy, it is extremely similar to my setup for AH,  except the rudders are a lot harder to push, and the stick also, ever so slightly.

some have complained that there is no wind in AH, well when you are up there you cant feel the wind at all.

all in all a great day, except for the puking part :rofl
       talking to instructer

extremely happy they gave me a parachute :aok

going over the gauges which I recognized all, thanx HTC :aok

whats crappy I was in such a rush I never grabbed my camera from the wife, so no photo's from the air.

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

Trust me, you will feel the wind eventually. You will be flying level and everything is smooth then you feel a sudden drop with a slight push up and to the left, then back down again...OHHH BOY!!1!!

I remember my discovery flight, awesome experience...went and finished with my Privates and now im in college and a full time job at the bank, so time is an issue with continuing my training. Had to stop with my privates certificate (yes certificate, not license)  :cry

I live here in houston, and flyinf over the fred hartman bridge and the ship channel is a sure sight to see from a birds eye

Glad you had fun  :aok Enjoy the experience...you never know how long its going to last. Study hard, fly even harder

When you start doing aerobatics, the feeling of freedom gives you such a "high" that, yes, Junky, it even compares that what you speak of!

well I was wondering about the wind before the flight, and asked the instructor, he said you don't feel it at all except in your path of flight,

what was the wind when you were up?

i feel it in the cessna 172.

not sure

Thats awesome INK, i have to ask...is it truly the best feeling in the world other then....well you know...i dont want to test Skuzzy :D

it's unbelievable, I think it's better cuz it lasts longer, although not as intense for that second LOL
 seriously it is amazing.
Awesome INK, I've yet to do this.   I will in due time though.    :rock

Jay dont screw around, it was the greatest time I have ever had,

that old question will playing AH make/help you learn to fly? absolutely the flying part was truly quit easy, all of it was except the body is not used to the whole flippy floppy thing, so when you do do it,
1   have nothing in your stomach, (wish i listened to that advice)

2 if your like me and didnt listen to the advice about eating, bring some paper towels to wipe the puke of your face, they were nice enough to provide the bag, but no paper towels. :rofl
      3 sun glasses

seriously guys it is way worth the money to do it, don't take an introductory flight, that's just taking off and landing, take an acrobatic flight.

driving to work today just aint quit the same.

Good stuff Ink, glad you had a great time (well, cept for the throwing yer ankle bones out obviously).

:salute

hell it was so worth it :aok
