offline mission errors in 2.16

There seem to be new issues with offline missions with the latest 2.16 patch.

• Flights that exist in the mission plan and appear when running with the editor do not appear when flying the mission.
• Death while flying a mission results in program error.
• End of fligh causes program error.
• Ghost planes firing at other ghost planes.

I know the offline missions are not part of the core HTC business.  So, I understand when these problems take back seat to the issues with online play.  Just understand these are show stoppers for the offline game, not just irritants.

Were these missions working with 2.15?

I guess that would be the patch before yesterday's where the P-47M was added, correct?  If so, that is the patch where it started happening.  The previous (2.14?) was just fine.

Yes, these missions were working in version 2.15.  That is to say, the new issues listed above did not appear in 2.15 for these same missions.

Tried on two different systems.  Many flights are AWOL (No Axis showed up on my primary pc) and getting WSOD/MS Error when killed, as others have already reported in the offline missions forum.

My missions made in 2.15 are still working correctly.  Only the ones made in 2.16 are having these issues.

Just built a mission for Falcon23.  Of the 18 Yaks, only one (the player's) a/c appears for the mission.  All 25 enemy a/c appeared for the mission, but they refused to engage and were constantly attacked & shot down by invisible planes i.e. tracers appearing from behind them w/ no a/c there doing the firing.

I've uninstalled 2.16 and reinstalled 2.15 to rebuild missions in development. 
The problems below do not appear in version 2.15:

However the "pilot kill = ghost plane that keeps fighting" bug is present in 2.15, as it was in 2.14 and previous.

How did you do that Stal?  Did you just overwrite 2.16 with 2.15?

I used the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Applications, and completely removed all Aces High components.  Then installed the 2.15 game, hi-res, and mission editor which had been saved in my archive.

I lost all my custom settings, but <missing "shrug" emoticon goes here>.

  oh man, I have waaay too much stuff in my AH folder to go through all that.  I hope a fix comes soon.

There may be stuff you can save in the "settings" folder, but I dono what is safe to keep and reuse.
