removing old HTC program files
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:57:00 AM »
Do I simply hunt down the old HTC folders sitting in Program files and other remote parts of Vista file structure or does someone have a smart little utility to clear all the old stuff out now that the game sits in its own C drive folder.

Search for "video8.cfg".  That file is the first file the game creates in the "settings" folder. Hopefully it will point you to the rest of the content folders and then you can nuke them.

Aces High is still in Program Files on my computer and not on the C drive; however, I have Windows XP.  Does the file set up on the C Drive only on Vista and/or Windows 7?

If I understand the "new Update Changes" correctly...any new "FRESH" Aces High II install defaults to the
C:\hitech creations\Aces High II\ directory now for all OS's

if you are still just updating thru the autoupdater it will update your aces high installation in whatever directory  it currently resides though......

All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC
