<drools>

The only plane I can think of that comes close is the B25J Special Model.

I want both

Anyway Rendar, I doubt that anyone would use it as a "ackstar", more likly they would use it as a oversized F4U-1C   and vulch. If we get it, I want BOTH turrets. =) And you don't need the extra fuel in AH, I can fly my B17 or B26 to 10k, bomb a base, come back home, and still have fuel to burn.

The point is that I want the newest version modeled (-66-DL).  That version had the ventral turret removed for more fuel.

I goofed on the C model.  The C actually had two nose guns.  A-26C-45-DT and later planes had 6 wing guns, both turrets, and 2 nose guns.  Plus the Norden and the same internal and underwing ordnance as the late B models.  I want that one.  10 forward firing guns is enough for me, and the Norden would be useful.

HTC could model several different versions.  It would not be too hard, just a bit of art modifications, a small change in the FM.  We can get both the A-26B-66-DL and the A-26C.  Pyro, HiTech, any input?

I would think that 16 forward firing .50in(probably with about 5000rnds of ammo), 8-14 5in HVAR's and/or 8-12 500lb bombs is a bit too much for one plane to have... The damn thing would be able to take down a small airbase all by itself! Would that be a good thing?

Vader was an either/or plane...

the bay was rather small, most of the big stuff was external.

1 turrent, 8 .50's, and a small payload is all I ask

It's gonna be pure fighter with

OTH it's a freakin slug with full ordinance, lots of drag from dual turrents, rockets and eggs.

Jig, most of the big stuff was INternal.  The internal bay held 8 x 500 lb bombs.  Only 2000 lbs of ordnance could be carried externally.  The external ordnance could be carried with the full internal bombload.  Yes it was a slug in that config, which is why it had water injection and 4700 hp!!!  Sorry if this spoils your A-26 fighter fantasies.

Sheesh, that bay sure looked stuffed with 10 mock 100 pounders

Time to go find out that plane's model number, maybe different ordinance system...

But oh well. No rockets, no eggs, one flared over turrent, bout half of the normal ammo load, I reckon I can give a Zeke a run for his money

Least vertical anyway...thing outta hold energy like like a 38.

I'm sure it could carry 100 pounders too.

This plane wouldn't be an overkill.  Remember that the version that carrier 16 .50 cals pointed forward is the one with out the Norden.  No dive brakes on it, so dive bombing would be risky.
