If not, I really hope it will be :)
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

No it was only enabled on certain bases at certain times last night. When it is finally enabled it will be a regular Fokker with out the jet engine, and without the gattlin guns with 12,000 rounds of ammo, or the 24 bottle rockets that hit like a 5" gun.

It was kind of funny to see how utterly ineffective the WGr 21's are, even with so many of them.

I was not there last night, could someone describe what it handled like?

RV8 like maneuverability (maybe more) with 163 like engine performance (although it seems to have decelerated faster/accelerated slower)

A few people used the term "F-16".

it handled like you'd expect from a triplane. very maneuverable. didnt take much to black out if you pulled too hard. turned on a dime. 60 seconds of roto(probably meant RATO(rocket assisted take off)). you could accelerate out to 480mph, but at 480mph parts were breaking off. 2X .30 cal mini-guns-- they were like lasers, gave a whole new meaning to spray and pray as one pilot put it. it was nasty! 48 rockets, they were like 5 inch guns, not very acurate, but if you got close, it did em in.

the fun part was you could pass a plane, turn on him, and roto right up to him before he even thought about it! by the time he checked 6, you had time to drill him!  was a great time. thanks HTC

Con Q & A session I actually requested a venue where once in a while on a limited basis we could bring out all the cool evil con mission "planes" and fly them in an arena with no field capture, and no perks.

I think it has a chance. Time will tell.
But the more people that ask for it the better chance it has.
