Biggest bomber formation seen in AH?

Whats the biggest bomber formation you have seen in Aces High?  I've seen alot of bomber flights, but the one that sticks in my mind most vividly was a flight of about 12-15 B26s.

I was flying as wingman to Chief (this was over a year ago).  I cant remember whether we were in cannon hogs or the 50 cal model.  I think it was the cannon hog.  Anyhow, we were flying along at around 5k and we spot this group of enemy ground vehicles.  I follow Chief down to the deck to engage them and it turns out to be a flight of around 12-15 B26s.  Apparently we have caught them by surprise because none are firing on us.  Chief blows the wing off one of them and it crashes into the ground and explodes.  As soon as we get past them I can see the whole formation firing on us.  By the time we are lined up for another shot about 10 friendly fighters are helping us engage the bombers.  Needless to say they didnt last too long.

Seen pretty big ones, specially in Scenarios, have film of one weekend event, large formation of B17's with P51 escorts, all of the buffs don't show up on the film though.

Allso, Afrika Korps had alot of big, not to say huge formations of bombers, no idea how many though.

Yep, it was a lot of fun.  :)  Here's a pic... just a small box near the front of the buff stream... there were at least 10 more buffs behind this group.

LOL Sancho, remember we tried to decide who "The Belle" was enroute?  Think we decided on Rangerbob's crew, and yes, he made it home. That was a great event!

The Buccaneers regularly do buff missions of 10 to 16 ships.  Less and less of our missions are Buffs these days though...

Trains and convoys have just about eliminated the usefulnes of buffs

I was the Belle the next day, and made it home on that one.    :)  Poor guy came in late and joined as a gunner.  "hey, you do realize you've got the most important job in this scenario, don't you?"  "Huh?"  "you're gunning for the Belle.  You let us get shot down, and we lose!"

edit.  here's a pic from the first run where Rangerbob was the Belle.  (upper right with Rip, Sancho and Nomde)

I've been in a few 4 or 5 member ones, but the biggest I recall seeing recently was when Tac wanted to get a large Arado formation going.  That was the evening the Main Arena went down and everyone was in the training arena.  I think we got 10 or more Arados up and pasted a bishop base.  Problem was, they didnt care.  With killshooter off, they were pummeling the snot outta each other   :)  Thilly Bishops.

I remember when the Arado first arrived Me and Duma would always round up 4 or 6 more folks and have 8 plane raids.. we would fly at about 6 k to, by the time we dropped and swung around we usually had a gaggle of 5-10 frothing fighters and whatnot on us.. it was a hoot taunting them.

Nifty,

I remember that Memphis Belle mission and still have two screen shots from it.  Not sure I should post it though, I'm way on the outskirts and all you'd see are a lot of green unreadable text over dots, but it's impressive how many dots you see!  I'd say there were more than 30 buffs in the air.  I was very green at the time and I think that was before the Mongrels relented and allowed me into the squadron.  I saw a few names in that screen shot I never see anymore.

I've been on a few Ripsnort bomber missions in the MA, but I don't see him creating them like I once used to.  I recall one where he set up a deep inland takeoff of about fifteen B-17s with P-51 escort later taking off after we'd gotten altitude.  We blasted some poor country's HQ to dust and then all of us headed for some enemy shore airbase to offer support and within a few minutes the Knights took it over and all us Forts were able to land.

[dang typos!]
