Invisable bushes
« on: October 20, 2009, 02:32:24 PM »
Seriously, I cant see threw them when I’m close but some one out side them can see me fine? Do the people that make this stuff even play the game?!  :furious
I hit a werb with a HVAP round in the side, it did nothing, Yet a 500 p bomb will kill it if it lands close?! How about some realism in the mods and stop tipping the advantage to the Air, Bad news ppl Air units are not that great. If it had really ben this easy to kill stuff from the air we never would have made Armor, it would have ben a waste of time money and manpower.
I know for a fact a PT boat was nearly impervious to air attack, being nearly invisible (Not having a big icon over it) and being made of wood you had to hit crew members to kill. A single run by a fighter NEVER killed a whole PT boat get real. I know for a fact your moding on the Tigers armor is all messed up. One Tiger took 360 rounds ranging from 90mm on down to 60mm and 50mm. and a bunch of assorted small arms, and limped off the field Crew all alive making it 20 miles or so to a repair area.  :furious
The Maps are looking Allot better, and I know some stuff is tuff to work, trees and bushes, ext, Spend less time making Fancy maps with Nifty lay outs, keep it simple and use more common sense less Artistic liberties. Ask ppl if you need help figuring out stuff. There is allot of us (some vets even), that would willingly help for free to make the game better :aok

Since it is so simple why don't you make your own game and stop the B8tching.

Hmmm...I thought the game was called "Aces High" with planes...not "Tankers Heaven"...means what's on the ground isn't as important as the stuff that flies.

And the self proclaimed "veteran" expert couldn't spell invisible or through correctly...so much for the credibility of his expertise in tank armor.

A whine has been recorded.

The Wirbelwind is built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank.  So, it's feasible that depending on your range firing the HVAP and the location where you hit the Wirblewind on the side, it is quite within the realm of possibility that it was able to survive your hit.  A 500 pound bomb, having more destructive power over the HVAP round you fired will kill a Wirblewind quite easily if it's a direct or near hit.

Well, considering the air portion of the game is the bread and butter of this game and far more enjoyable to play in, I would have to say you're incorrect.

Any armored column without any AA protection is nothing more than a nice sitting target for attacking aircraft.  Why?  Because it the tanks were easy to take out if they didn't have AA protection or air support.

And you know this for a fact because you served on PT Boats during the war?  The PT Boats best and most widely used defense against aircraft was to operate at night.  Even at night, the PT Boats weren't safe from enemy air attacks.  One of the biggest fears of a PT Boat crewman in the PTO were the Japanese seaplanes that were hard to pick up on the PT Boats radar and could track the PT Boat at night by it's phosphorescent wake left by the propellers.  Quite a few PT Boats were lost due to bomb attacks and near hits were just as catastrophic as direct hits.

If you're the type of person they should ask for help then that is the day this game has officially started going down the crapper without any hope of coming back out.

Terrains are player made, not HTC made.  They are not wasting time with "fancy maps with nifty layouts".  That's for us to do.
