No, paintings are a subcategory of pictures.  Photographs are another subcategory.

Going to be pretty hard for the skinners to come up with photos of this era to verify their work & colours :headscratch: paintings may be as good as it gets?

Two words: Track IR and Rudder Pedals.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Skins are fun and all.

But I'm wondering where the actual flight data and performance for these crates is being pulled from.

I mean, I suppose the RFC and LSK kept records... and performed tests, as well as the manufacturers. Not nearly as accessible though I would think.

There's quite a few WW1 aircraft replicas flying today. Some have original rotary engines.

True.

Of those I'm not sure any are completely faithful in terms of materials though. And even if there are some that are faithful and have original engines, doesn't do anything for the rest of the plane that will be modeled.

As far as I know this is a table based game so it will be a matter of the developers decided what plane goes what speed at what alt.

I mean, I can go to Williams site and see USAAF charts..is there any WW1 era stuff online?  :headscratch:
