Intel GMA 4500 MHD
« on: October 23, 2009, 12:10:08 PM »
Does anyone know how the Intel GMA 4500 MHD chipset compares with the low end ATI & Nvidia laptop onboards? I know the older Intel onboards are junk, but I figured I'd ask about this one.

If you are talking about onboard video, they all suck.

Well, they run Microsoft Office fine, but do not expect them to do much in the way of 3D work.

I know you'd said that the Intel onboards were junk even more than the ATI and Nvidia onboards, but I just wondered if this one was about equal to the ATI/Nvidia ones. (I know that onboard video is always WAY worse.)

He said "They all suck".   As in, regardless of Manufacturer, "they all suck".   One is not better than other.

Some can be better than others.

You'll have to simply go to the manufacturers site and see what each integrated video supports.  Some support Direct X 7.1 and up. :)  I've stopped looking at their specs years ago, so I'm out of the loop.
