What is the best quality you can save a screenshot in and using what software?

What ever resolution the game displays in by using prt scrn and saving with paint as a completely uncompressed (bitmap) image.

Bitmap works good some print media and if you're going to work with it in a slide show/video (it will be compressed here).  Anything posted on the internet should be left in JPEG.
