Assuming you do have an Ipod your pretty limited.
I've heard of a program called Limewire that you might want to check out.
It's supposed to be compatible with Ipods and I've been told it completely free.
Worth a try anyways  :salute

Not sure if Rhapsody is free, but I saw they have it for iPods now. It came with my Sansa View.  Pretty good software.

Do you have to pay for the Itunes software now or just to download a song?

The problem is every time I update or reinstall the OS I need to un-register the PC and IPOD then Re-register it each time, and With over 4000 legal mp3 files it's a pain in the A**

Limewire Kazaa and Bearshare all have the same problem. I use Zune which has the same problem but I havent had to move it (7500 mp3s 10 movies and 250 podcasts at 56 GB).
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

One of the major problems with Ipods is that they prefer a .mp4 format which can pretty much only be got via itunes, you'll realize that all the music files that's on your computer is imported to itunes, well, during that they convert it to a .mp4, so unfortunatly, your choices are very limited. That's why I prefer Zen. :D My Zen V Plus has lasted years, and is compatable with nearly every file type, and those it's not, it converts. :D

The only reason Limewire is so "bad" (use FrostWire instead, btw) is because people are retarded enough to download ZIP and RAR files.
