Aircraft Tunnels

On a few maps, there seems to be some islands with mountains so high that they seem to be higher than Mt. Everest.  Flying in bombers, well, it takes awhile to either climb higher or go around.

I believe the Bishop, Knight, and Rook Corps of Engineers can blast some big tunnels through the mountains to allow a bomber pod access.

Apparently they already have them at the P-38 size.  But only when you are flying Knights!

Lol you would have to be a heck of  a pilot to fly through that tunnel. :airplane:

Apparently they DID have tunnels for planes in WW2. :O

Would these be the same engineers that allow trees to grow in line with runways, put airfields in bowls where only the best bomber pilots can launch in such a way to acquire their drones without wiping out a few herds of squirrels, and reinforced shrubbery to the point where it will stop a multi-ton GV dead in its tracks?
