Enker,

All polygons are triangles.  So every square or rectangle takes 2 polygons to make, thus the minimum for those buildings is 10.  Putting peaked roofs on them would raise that to 14.  Remember, the ends of the building need to be flush with the roof, so those walls need 3 polygons now.

Also, why would you put floors on the buildings? Not like you see inside them.

Very nice work.  It's nice to see buildings looking less cartoonish.

It looks frigging awesome, however due to the size, I think we'll need to activate a large group of B29's to level it. Of course theres always the nuclear solution too  :D

And maybe Im being nit picky but flat roofs were not the dominant architecture design during the WWII time period

Dresden was hardly a typical city - seat of the kings of saxony for over 500 years it was regarded by many as the most beautiful city in the world. until Feb 1945 that is ...

Any chance you could make the churches, orphanages and hospitals stick out
from the other buildings a bit better?

Rough estimate of the number of buildings is around 25,000 - 30,000.

Incendiary bomb loads for buffs would be great - then we could let the GV guys have a bright RED FIRETRUCK to play with too!

Close Karnak, you forgot the 2 extra on the ends of the building that go from 4 verts to 5, so the increase would be 10 Triangles to 16 Triangles.
