Bf109-G10's stability

I was flying a G-10 tonight, trying to intercept a city raid.

I re-discovered why I don't fly the thing.  It doesn't handle turns very well.  The nose was all over the screen.  I was about to post a complaint about this when I remembered something.

Isn't it a fact that late war 109s with the big DB605 engines are front heavy?  Their center of gravity is a bit too far forward making manuevering a bit tricky?  What would a front heavy plane handle like?

Almost all LW planes are unstable and a little jittery in pitch.

Takes a little time getting used to, but is worth it.

lol the g10 is very stable

try the yak if u want a unstable airplane

Its the oposite for me.

The Yak flys fine, the 190s and 109s fly wobbly.

If you are still using the older style joysticks (non-usb), it is very hard to tame the controls. USB makes it much easier to scale, dampen, and trim.

Yak is fly-by-wire plane for me..
Probably most horrifying planes for me to control are spitfire and P38

With spitfire, rudder input is too strong (ads (tm) rudders)
With P38 I get nose stuttering when pulling steady..
Can't really shoot when aim bounces over and under the plane in deflection shots, instead of following it steady like with other planes...

109's arent that big of a problem though.. just stiff controls (actually I like stiff control, makes it easier to aim.. 13 cannon shells = kill)

G10 is a nice ride.  Gobs of engine balls and the 30mm is horrific against other fighters.

Heh I flyed few flights with P-51 and I would take those .50cal to 109 anyday
