Hmmm, I'm trying to remember some of the old names from the WB crew before iMOL bought it.  Nothing rings a bell.  Enlighten me.

Fwiw, if I don't get the planes I want, I'm cancelling my account.

great point or question htc's testing of the new product I read that this morning... quite funny  :salute

It's amazing how many whines are from players about changes. So many whines about filling out the WWII plane set.

If you compare the number of kills in the LW arena for September the most successful aircraft was the P-51D, the least the P-40B. The P-40B had less that 1/2 of 1% the success of the P-51D. Yes I know the reason that it is not as successful so that dog won't hunt. I question the reasoning of the people that demand (and they do demand) filling out the plane set of every plane that flew in WWII before HTC moves on to anything else. Did these guys whine about adding vehicles too?

We've had an real WWII Ace slandered in these forums without any documented proof during the arguements about adding WWI aircraft, folks crying about having vox in WWI planes and various and sundry things.

How many of these people really took the time to think about what is good for the continued growth of this game and how many are just saying I want what I want and I want it now? It doesn't add to gameplay, it doesn't bring in customers, but it makes me happy and pffffffft to the rest of you. Same ones that say I don't care that it costs the same to add an aircraft that won't get flown outside of scenarios as it does to do one that may bring in more people and keep this game growing?

Fwiw, if it weren't for scenarios and the prospect that someday we'll get the He 111, G4M, Ki-43, Lagg-3, etc.  I would cancel my account.  How's that for growing the business?

That said, I'm not all torn up over the upcoming WW1 arena.  It sounds like fun to me.

Not knocking you in particular Anaxogoras but I hear that alot "I'm canceling my account" from so many here in the forums.  Do you really think HTC cares about a mere $15 dollars or the totality of the group, doing what's best to grow/keep current customer base.  Just Childish in my opinion.  I'm looking forward to the WWI arena as well does sound fun.

That line doesn't make grammatical sense to me...  :headscratch:

The WW1 part of this game may bring in some new players, but that's doubtful. Most WW1 games have small followings. More than likely already existing customers will fly it (little "new" revenue). May be fun, sure, but it's no reason for his original post.

I think folks may be over-reacting to the WW1 arena, but the entire way SB made his original post is just wrong in my opinion.

You can't grow the game if people exit as quickly as they arrive.  FSO prevents that.

Secondly, it's not childish not to put money into something that doesn't give you equivalent value.  Now, whether it's equivalent value or not is totally subjective, but why do you believe that my stating my conditions for equivalent value is childish?  I haven't said "I want it now!"  Or, "Why have you wasted time with WW1?!?!"  I haven't said anything of the sort.  On the contrary, I defended the introduction of the P-47M because the attacks on its entry were silly.  I've expressed qualified enthusiasm about the upcoming WW1 arena.  What have I demanded?  That some of the must numerous and important aircraft of the war be added to the game someday.  I don't see the harm in that, and that's my equivalent value to $15.

P.S. I don't know if you have children or not, but to me it's pretty funny to be accused of childishness when I have the real thing in my home. :old:

Heres my opinion on SB's post and why I think he's got a great point you would have to read other posts to know what I was talking about on the other.

It's amazing how many whines are from players about changes. So many whines about filling out the WWII plane set. People are genetic whinners most of the time because they've always got everything in life they've wanted and just like to complain reguardless of the topic.  Most of the whinners are divorced and are un social people who need Church and Jesus in there Life

If you compare the number of kills in the LW arena for September the most successful aircraft was the P-51D, the least the P-40B. The P-40B had less that 1/2 of 1% the success of the P-51D. I question the reasoning of the people that demand (and they do demand) filling out the plane set of every plane that flew in WWII before HTC moves on to anything else. Did these guys whine about adding vehicles too? Not only do they demand they think people actually care you they delete their account.  The percentage between the top plane and the least plane is .005 percent success from SB's post and people still complain about this is not right that's not right.  Everyone has to fly in the same conditions so if they're complaining maybe they need to be in the training arena more.

We've had an real WWII Ace slandered in these forums without any documented proof during the arguements about adding WWI aircraft, folks crying about having vox in WWI planes and various and sundry things.  This is so pitiful that you have to slander a hero of our nation over a game.  Childish get a life and to be frank go to hell!

Same ones that say I don't care that it costs the same to add an aircraft that won't get flown outside of scenarios as it does to do one that may bring in more people and keep this game growing?  It's called business sense.  Can we bring in 50 new customers through this marketing compain or doing this or that.  How much money is that going to cost us.  Is it worth it to us as a Company?  Should we create this new plane or that new plane.  Your always looking for continued growth and modeling a plane for a scenario only doesn't make sense if you can spend that valued time modeling a plane that pushes the game forward, makes the game more fun for the customers you already have and at the same time have incentives or something no other WWII simulation company has to promote AHII to your new customer base.

It's hard for this post not to make sense, it does to me.

I am also a father, the only reason why I say that is because in the text people try to use that as a threat to the company for losing money when the fact is the company could care less about your $15 dollars although alot of $15's add up to be a large sum of money.  There trying to please alot of people in here and I think there doing a very nice job of it.   Equivalent value of $15 is a personal opinion and will vary from person to person.  Now on my hand I play a thousand sorties a month.  Thats a very cheap hobby if you ask me in my opinion.  A happy meal for the kid almost costs that much at McD's.  We've kinda got off topic here on this forum but it wasn't meant as a personal attack but that statment in general is a subjective threat to the company and alot of people use it in a childish manner.  I'm not calling you a child I don't even know you I'm just saying the text is used like a child would say that.  <S>

Spend a few days outside where you have the classic "kids playing together while parents mull about" situation and you'll see that just because someone has a child doesn't cause them to be an adult. Balloon Boy, anyone?

There's never going to be a change that makes everyone happy. You give us an old plane, the BnZers will cry "wasted time on a hangar queen." Bring in a late war monster and the others will cry "wasted time on yet another uber ride." Add new graphics and lower-end system owners will cry "we can't play any more!" Leave the graphics alone, modern computer owners cry "why do we have to play in 8-bit land?" Not to mention those who simply nitpick without being opposed; "I suppose I don't like or dislike this, but this would have been so much better."

Never really see any point in discussing any of it, since it's almost always two evenly split sides with nobody in the middle.

absoultely true, why did you type this again  :lol just joking with you, just like I said always have someone complaining.  Main Objective: Please the majority of the players we already have and number 2.  Do whats best to bring on New Customers.  Thats the bottom line from a company stand point, the rest is rubbish.

:D There's a difference between not seeing a point in something and not doing it. Lots of times I'll jump into stuff just out of sheer boredom...like...right now. :lol
