Tomcat21 in Iraq
« on: November 01, 2009, 11:01:12 PM »
Guys, I just received a PM from Tomcat21 who is in Iraq. He's doing fine. Trying to stay safe. He lost 7 of his battalion in a Stryker. I suppose to a roadside bomb. I didn't dig. He said they have lost 30 so far.

He said to say hi to everyone and is longing for home.

So if you get the chance give him a pm.

You sure he's in Iraq?  7 got killed in a Striker in Afghanistan last week, but not Iraq.  What unit is he with?

Not sure about Bob but you're off base on that...you can pm me if you want further insight instead of us hijacking this thread but suffice to say when dealing with people who clearly demonstrate no regard for human life...there is only one choice.

I hope Tomcat makes it home in one piece. I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

just speaking from devil's advocate view point, both the taliban and bigbob showed no regard.
Not startin anything but Xbrit was just shocked that anyone could think war for the individual soldier was about 'cappin asses'. Personaly i just think BigBob was showing support in his own way, just explaining why some people reacted to that.

Tomcat hope you stay safe and dont see too much bad stuff happening.

Posting Casualty Reports is a bad idea.....

Letting us know that Tomcat21 is safe and well is an excellent idea!

Keep your head and tail down Tomcat21 and come home safely!

Casualty reports are a matter of public record.  They had 7 killed in a Stryker in Iraq recently?

Those were the ones I was referencing.  You can sign up to receive emailed casualty notifications from DoD on the DoD website.  I receive them to keep tabs on those sorts of things, for general information and because I still have friends and acquaintances that are in and serving.  That being said, I went through all the ones I've received for the last month and didn't see anything from Iraq resembling what was stated.  So, I'm still curious if he's in Iraq and what unit he's with.
