Yeah Skulls, but how fast does it accelerate? That's the killer, the T34 is a decently fast tank, but it accelerates slowly

Much as I love the M18 and am beating the drum to get it put in Darkest Hour, it is a poor match for Aces High.
Its only defense is speed and low profile, AH lacks the terrain undulations that make a vehicle like this credible, with the wide open spaces of AH with nearly no terrain hull downs, this thing would be meat.
Even without its vulnerability to aircraft, this thing would just provide meat for T34 76s to kill.
the problem with the idea here is that it could out run everything on the field now cept the M8 and M3... turns on a dime and could easily out flank tigers, yeah, low frontal armor piercing compared to the M10 or any tanks, but has the speed to take out any of the GVs out there... personally the M18 would be a new and dangerous unit to the battle. what was the top speed? 45mph? or 50? i think tigers would want a few panzers to cover the flanks if we put the M18 or even the M10 with its top speed in... difference is is that the M10 had less armor and a lower top speed... and ruler2, this thing accelerates faster than whatever prius you drive    i remember seeing a history channel thing talking about how a pnzr almost killed one when the commander of the M18 told the driver hard right, and it pulled a 90 degree turn at near top speed

I hear you, but I dont think the cover provided by the AH terrain is sufficient for this to be effective.
What range could Ostwinds kill it at?  What range would M8s kill it at?
The terrain in Darkest Hour provides lots of undulations even in an open field, this things low profile and incredible mobility could be used there, I think it will be meat here.
But thats me.
If you want to put a US tank destroyer in that can deal with Tigers, put in the M36, it can deal with tigers.

But just different will it be than a Tiger vs Tiger match up other than the M36 getting raped first due to that much less armor?  The M36 isnt fast, it isnt armored enough to really matter.  While the 90mm is on par with the DE 88mm, that would be the only saving grace.  The M18 would at least be able to shoot-n-move in a matter to distract that Tiger (or any other tank) enough to render that Tiger vulnerable to other incoming fire.

...and an open turret that would make them easy meat for strafing planes. I like it.  :devil

Yah, that NEVER happens to Ostis or Wirbys :furious

ya know, ive dealt with mobile problems often playing this game, ive also used it as a great advantage. a tiger sat in a town in front of me, i moved my pnzr every time he shot, i got about 100 yards before i turned into mincemeat from his 88mm when he decided to guess where i was gonna go next... my point is is that a mobile fast target would be perfect and long range makes it even more useful... use the range to get close then go for cover and attack fast

If we had this tank, it would be close to being perked, but the horrible aromer would let it down. Still, you would always have to be on the look for a 55 mph 76mm :devil

I'm all for the Hellcat, but could we also get the M-3 Stuart and the Panzer III? Please. http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,279708.0.html

nice bump haha... so i say we just keep getting people to back the M18 up and we may have it in here. and the armor isnt as bad as people would believe. its got enough to never get killed my an osti. the M3 stuart and the pnzr III are kind of weak. what about an M3 Lee? but give us the M18
