I'm a Stars fan, but I'm not deluded into thinking they're better than average.  They can't win in a shoot out.  The Stars are still half NHL half AHL.  The franchise is also lot like a science museum, lots of money invested in fossils.  They need more pruning and acquisitions.  I still can't believe they gave up Hagmann and got Avery, especially with Avery's history with specific personalities on the Star's roster.  :rolleyes:   If you don't think they're still hurting from that deal, you're not paying close attention.  I'm cheering for them though.  Lets see what happens Wednesday when the two oldest-timers hit the ice.

Now that I've been in DC for a while, I may have to start following the crazy Russian and the caps.  Grew up mildly interested in the Sabres and Rangers, though.
