Beer and the "Buffalo Theory"
« on: November 05, 2009, 05:48:57 AM »
It's like this; a herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members!
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells.
But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! ... That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers!!"

And why you should drink stronger beers too, speed the process up and make it more aggressive in general.

I don't know, once at end of what was a very long night where we closed the bar and were sitting around after hours with a couple people and the bar tender, my esteemed friend sat up from where he was laying on top of the bar and looked right at me and informed me that he had just transcended pure reason.  Now I'm not sure what that process entails but I'm guess all the alcohol we consumed that night definitely helped us get to that point. :)

This is actually a myth. Alchohol does not actually kill brain cells. All it does is temporarily impair motor control and judgement.  :old:

But I do like your analogy!! Hee hee.  :lol

Correct observation  :aok
That is only natural because those few beers  have made you a bit smarter, thus the other people you see are relatively a bit dumber ;)  :devil

However, this does not really reveal us why after a few beers the women also seem more beautiful  :headscratch:
Do them beers make us relatively uglier  :bolt:
