Plz check the Ju88 FM

I literally dogfighted with some of them (<S> Torquila) in my C.205. I saw scissors and pulls-up like they had no E-loss or wing-load. Sort of UFOs.

How LW could have lost the war with those uber-kites?

I bet those MG 81 pack a mean punch. LOL!

Don't be too suprised though, as an unloaded Ju 88A-4 would have about the same wingloading as your C.205. Of course, it's powerloading is about double... If HTC makes the C-6 then you'll have reason to complain.

Hi Juzz,
not complaining. I can wait for a couple of patches before turning my whine-mode "on"
However, I can hardly believe that a medium buff like the Ju88 could maneuver that way.

Seems that it was a plane forced by circumstances to perform whatever role it could adapt to. Somewhat like what we try and make it do in AH

p.s.  can anyone help with a translation of this article?

Imagine how uber the Ju88 would of been had it's weight not been doubled during the strengthing for dive bombing!

Historically Ju-88 had very good maneuverability for a bomber, not to forget it's dive bombing capability which you hardly find from allied medium bombers.
Also allies tends to have bigger medium bombers.. (specially fuselage is thicker)

In early war, bombers could have ran from fighters

Don't forget that the Ju-88 did perform as a night fighter in WW2 also.

gatt; I'll try and dig up some stuff I once read on a Ju 88A that was tested versus the Hurricane Mk I and Spitfire Mk I. IIRC it could out-dive the RAF fighters.

I think that book also had tests with the Mosquito B.IV, B-24, He 111, B-25 and Lancaster too.

I'm gonna guess this is because of the massive weight advantage. But once at full acceleration I bet that Spit would catch it   (at which point Ju88 uses his auto-pull out feature, blacks out for a min then looks back at the Spit crater   )
