add 2000lb bombs as option to p38 loadout?

No no no juzz... u got that wrong !!!

Fw190A8 with 17 20mm guns and 32 30mm cannons and extra ammo carring 4000lb bomb could take off at less the 500 yards thanks to B1T3M3 innjection to the engine that gave it extra 10000 hp for periods up to 70 days !!

This fact was covered up by allies after the war, but infact, Fw190 was and still is the best fighter ever and using B1T3M3 injection can easily take on F16s and Mig 29s !!!

Here are some stats:
Speed on the deck: 1200mph
Speed at alt ( 50000 ft ) 2500mph
Climbrate: without B1T3M3 system - 5000 ft/m
with B1T3M3 - 25000 ft/m.
Turnrate was better then spitfire thanks to 1W15HUD3D device.

While others might deny it, Fw190 was and still is the best fighter ever.

There... take that !!!

I'll try to look up the takeoff distance for a 190 with an 1800 kg bomb.  It's astronomical for sure.

That was quick.  The Fw 190G that carried 1000kg, 1600kg, and 1800kg bombs required special landing gear struts, wheels, and tires.  Takeoff distance was 1300 m with 1800 kg bomb.

The heaviest load for a standard G-3 or G-8 was 250 kg on each wing and 500 kg on the centerline for 1000 kg total.  Even this configuration caused problems with takeoff distance, operation from unpaved fields, and range.
