To me smack talk is clever and entertaining. Getting chat muted just means you can type profanity... it has nothing to do with smack ability.Shane was pretty funny, and nathbdp.   Nowadays there isn't a decent smack talker in the game.

I remember one night when Nath was flying around, he sent me a PM saying "watch this" and just typed two words over open channel.  Forgot what he said but it got the entire arena screaming and crying for over an hour.  Classic stuff.

Talking smack is not a valuable element to this game. It should not be "rewarded" or "idolized" like this thread is trying to.

It's a detriment most times, and should be discouraged.

I know I wont get a vote, I very rarely ever "talk smack" it's just the kind of guy I am, I dont argue in the real world, why would I here,   I may through a word or two usually amounts to " nice shot" or something like that, if you see me typin something "smack talkish" to someone it will be in response to what they said, every time!!

now as far as "best smack talker"  Skyrock has that in the bag,(sorry BP)  straight up, when I first came to AH he was the guy always on 200, (although it was not 200 then)  Skyrock that is, I wanted to rap him up side his head    then he started in on me one day, so we go to the "DA"     and he first off,  whips me soundly, and easily, so what ensues is a great training day for me, he explains a lot about the stick settings and what not, something he did not have to do, and that which made me a much deadlier cartoon pilot and with A new understanding of who Skyrock is, now I love to see him rip someone apart on 200  

so ya anyways I vote for you Skyrock

Shane was a nice fella as well, when you were fighting him in DA and such... but he could get folks going on 200 and was very funny with it...

Funny.  Ya I would tune with Lev and Nath once in a while and he would telegraph his smack. He didn't do it frequently but it was fun when he did.

Obviously we are caught in a game of semantics here.

To some it means "joking around". To others it means "insulting your mother". To me it means the former and I'll leave it at that. You cant really weigh the morality of something when it means so many different things to so many different people.

well, as far as this thread goes...  smack does not include insulting one's family, and as much insulting(small scale) that I have done, ingame I avoid talking about one's family, and generally their RL altogether. 

Smack talking as it is used in this thread, would be like Shane, Nath, ManeTMP.... 

the best smack talker can get your goat, and not really say anything too harsh and is entertaining.
