new to terrain making

Hey guys I want to make a terrain, a small ne to begin with, and I was wondering are there any guides or walk thrus that I can d/l out there??

  I have the google map of wake island and I would like to try this out. Any help would be appreciated.

it will help you alot if you could convert your map into a greyscale and import it into the TE,saving alot of time.that will set your elevations and make it easier to paint the land textures rather than doing the elevation manually.the TE also has a step by step guide to help you in making your terrain,also posting questions in here,as there are some good guys that will gladly help you on your way,me included if i can.with that said welcome to your  2nd  AH2 addiction
