Hi Nate

As discussed here are a few piccies of some Lancasters - only in b&w I'm afraid.

You can see the grey/white puffy smoke sort of soot stains on the side of the engines that I was on about.  This was caused by the lead in the petrol being exhausted from the engines.  The piccies clearly show this.

   
The Lancaster below you can also notice the ventral turret that was fitted to some Lancasters but most of those were removed.
   
The white soot (below) more noticable on the far left outer engine.  Also quite good detail of the aerials and bomb camera ahead of the bomb bay doors.
   

Hope you may find these useful at some stage.  Keep up the fantastic work - the Lancaster is gorgeous!

Too bad that Lancaster is a little slow getting off the ground.  It sure would help to have rocket assisted take offs.  Something like this:
