Only the 2001 came ungoverned I think, but from what I heard it's not much work to ungovern them. What are they 185MPH rather than 205 ungoverned?

None of them came ungoverned. 

Stems from a gentlemens agreement all the big Japanese bike firms made back in the 90s, not to make a bike faster than 300kph (186mph).  However......I read a story in MCN last year saying pretty much all 4 firms had decided to say sod it and ignore the agreement from now on.  You still won't see stupidly powerful and fast bikes coming from Japan though because......these big bikes aren't made for the Japanese market, they're illegal in Japan.  All big bikes are made for the American and European markets.....and, for some reason, the Germans get really ancy about fast bikes and threaten to push all kinds of stupid safety laws through the EU parliament every time anyone hints at a Bugatti killing bike.

Swoop I almost bought an Hayabuse last year, a 2002. Doing my homework I saw a beautifull coper/silver one, but way $$$ and learned she was the first year model, they were not governed.

I ride to work and back everyday and have a suitable 650cc v-twin for the task, but, as a rider I love the flat out power of some of my older bikes. I didn't want to start any arguments but just for other riders to have a look and fantasise about the absolute power this thing has.

If those dolts would do their tricks in closed areas it would be just fine. But they risk innocent bystanders by driving 280km/h in middle of regular traffic. Did you see how close the 'ghostidiot' came to rear ending an another motorcycle in the first film?

He's going to get what he asks for inevitably but I hope he doesn't take innocent lives with him. Darwin will chuckle in his grave.

ok.....what the hell is the point in giving a bike 500bhp and then taking all the bodywork off so it no longer cuts through the air cleanly?  I mean why?  Why would you do that?  

It's bad enough that someone has done this to a 40' long Busa and not a bike that'll actually corner properly....like an R1 or ZX-10R, but taking the bodywork off as well and reducing the top speed by a good 40-50mph??!

The only reason I can think of is cos a ZX-10R with 500bhp would flip onto it's back if you so much as look at it funny, a Busa will at least be more controlable when the front end lifts due to the longer wheelbase and swingarm. Which means all this bike can do well is wheelie.  Therefore my hypothesis stands, he's a posing ponce with more money than sense.

AFAIK the ghostrider is swedish where they have a habbit of running souped up cars and motorcycles in middle of daily traffic (you notice most of the cars were Saab/Volvo).

The swedish police is totally ineffective at stopping both robbers and speeders in traffic.

I don't get why you're lol'ing.

I complain the busa can't corner well......and suggest a bike that will corner well.  ie mine, cos I occasionally take her out for some 30* cornering on sticky tyres.

It wouldn't need aerodynamics, but it would definitely increase it's top speed and performance.

You obviously don't know much about how aerodynamics work, they don't just help out at the top end of the vehicles performance, they also help increase the vehicles 0-???mph time, and handling as well.
