German WW2 Air-Gun
« on: November 15, 2009, 11:38:49 AM »
During the later half of the sceond world war, Germany experimented with a wide variety of odd weapons, many using natural elements as a weapon.  In 1944, Albert Speer launched plans to design several different efficient weapons to stop the Allies' massive advance, one was the Air Gun.  The idea was to fuel the gun with hydrogen and oxygen, which would cause a trumendous explosion, and out would come a plud of air.  The point was to concentrate this "invisible plud of air" at a low-flying airplane, and the power from the blast would simply tear the plane apart.

Examples were produced and used during WW2, and I think it would just be an awesome addition to the game!

Lol, it was produced (see picture above), and it was used to defend against aircraft on a bridge (forget name) on the Elbe river.  It was never used successfully, but heck, neither was the 163.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

When the game is over, the Kings and Pawns all go into the same box.

How many aircraft could we add that had potential but were not used?

P-38K? F7F? P-80?

I must suggest that if you have another idea like this one you ask someone to cut it out.  :devil

Dear Mythbusters...
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

I saw that on the history channel, and some people did make it (small scale) and it can blow down model houses.  Maybe put it in another arena called (experimental weapons)
