I would like to see a fundamental change in game play. Currently every land based target is depicted on a map. There is no requirement to do reconnaissance of any kind except where CV’s are concerned. I’d like to see game play altered so that each country starts off with so many fixed airfields , cities, factories . a set of realistic roadways that linked the country assets together and each member of a country could see their own map. During the game intel would provide information about the location of enemy airfields, towns, cities and factories. The roadway system would contain rail roads, Highways, roadways, rivers and bridges. The additional open areas on a map would be areas in which a country could parachute engineers in to build additional airfields , or build bridges to cross rivers or construct roadways. The Engineers would act much in the same way that troops act now. Once dropped into a location they would begin building as soon as the correct number of supplies were dropped. We would need either airfield supplies or bridge building supplies or roadway supplies. Building time could be reduced by increasing the number of Engineers and supplies. The Airfields would be grass strips, No Fighter hangers or Bomber hangers, just Ammo and the ability to repair aircraft. Only way to get GV’s in would be Jeeps, M8’s, M16 and M3’s flown in by C47. Heavy tanks would need to be driven in. Any vehicles left at a base could be used by anyone. The same with aircraft. All supplies at the field would need to be flown in.
Add a new dynamic to the game. This would create additional targets and create additional fights. Rivers that would mean something and bridges that would need to be defended or destroyed.
