Pyro's Flight Model Post

S!

I have just read Pyro's Flight Model post regarding what he plans to do with aircraft in 1.08.

I have to say I am very disappointed in his comments regarding the D11.  Ie. No Paddle Blade.

This means the aircraft in which the leading USAAF European Aces got most of their kills in, (Gabreski, Bob Johnson etc.) the aircraft which was the best performing P-47 other than the rare and likely perked P-47M will not be available.

Which means the P-47 will never get the chance to shine like it should.

Considering that it should be a relatively simple matter to model the prop, I can't understand this decision.

"Which means the P-47 will never get the chance to shine like it should."

Or does it just mean there may not be a paddle blade D11 in 1.08?

P-47D-11 is underweight and that will be changed. A prop change is not planned at this point as I really don't want to do 8 variants of the P-47.

that means the p47d11 has a paddle blade prop and is keeping it for the forseeable future

I want a 109G6 with MW50, because it is the plane where aces like Hartmann got most of their kills.  :D

Lol, what a crybaby  ;)

ram buzzbait has asked for g6 w mw50 before too

sometimes u give us guys who like lw airplanes a bad name. hes just asking for historically representative a/c. in reality they never should have done the d-11, they should have done the d-5 so then there would be less reason to say we want paddle we want paddle  :)

Zigrat  ;) did you notice  ;) the similie  ;) at the end of my post?  ;)

In fact I have agreed, and said quite some times in the  forums that the D11 should carry a paddle prop to be historically accurate.

I was just doing a "whiner" joke  :p

(BTW this shouldnt be too difficult to solve. Pyro just needs to change the name of the plane, and voila!, an historically accurate D-5)  :)

Errrrr... Ummmmmm.... *points to a scale model of the P-47N*  ;)

Not rare, very nice performer, but it will probably be perked just because of perceptions rather than ability.

Not to actually enter the entire "P47 Paddle Prop debate", but to be honest all the current P47's feel like they are the same to me (at least very very close). Even the D11 which is currently underweight.

I do hope we eventually see a unperked N model though.  :)
