Need an opinion

MG 131 is this gun all but useless?  I dumped 500/950 rounds into a lancaster.  I stood off and pinged him for 3 minutes counting around 300 or so hits with mg's only only to see 1 smoking engine.  Is it me or is the 131 a little lacking in hitting power?  To me it is an upscaled MG 17, if it wasnt for the subpar 151 I don't see how the FW's can be effective.  This is not a flame but a concern, I found it funny flying the P-47-25 I got hit bya  spitfire, I counted 45 hits from him, and checked my damage, nothing hit everything all workin, dove and flew away.  That is how I feel firing the 13mm on a buff, especially the lancaster.  Has anyone else noticed its lack of hitting power?  I know the first thing people will say is well you have only 2 of them.  Which I agree with but I was able to rack up 3 kills vs tough birds and a buff in the p-51b, forgot to select other pair after I dropped my bombs.  I wish they could post some data on gun performances and ammo load out.  For I know after reading everyone's posts in here, you all are very concerned with modeling accuracy.  I would like to see the MG 151/15 though, would be a nice buff/fighter killer.

Thanks 603, but I am looking for in game data, I have loads on the specs from books.  I am wondering what ammo type/ ROF/ Velocity they are using.  HE Incendiary tracer this is the one I want to know if they modeled in here.
