<waves his hand> This is not the coad you're looking for.

<waves his hand> You want to finish the B29 instead.

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

GV's can not use rearm pads at all.

ROFLMAO!!! There goes the gv rearm glitch...  :rofl :D :rofl :D

From military experience, it's much easier to "field repair" a tank than it is to repair an airplane...unless the tank is shot to pieces one track can be replaced in 30 to 60 minutes...the power plant can be replaced in 45 minutes...guns, not possible, but a turret (depending on the type) can be replaced, radiators, fuel tanks, hatches, torsion bars, wheels, etc...all you need is a torch, a welder (diesel or gas), a vehicle that is capable of heavy lift, and some men.

Repairing aircraft is much more complicated...and rather than taking a few hours, it can take days or weeks depending on the damage...most heavily damage aircraft were scrapped out for parts to repair less damaged aircraft.

It just doesn't make sense to put a plane down on an airfield...pull into a hangar or open paddock...and sit there to get it repaired...especially when you have a couple of kills racked up already...then take off again to risk the chance of getting shot down and losing those points just for the sake of simulating something that would be nothing more than a novelty. It would be faster to just exit the sortie and re-up in a fresh plane.

Seriously, wouldn't it make more sense to be able to change your fuel and ord/weapons loadouts on the rearm pad than try and simulate the replacement of an aileron or wing?

After looking, It has always been that they could rearm, but i remembered differently.

But just to make sure, Vehicles should not be repaired on the pad? Only with supplies, if they are it is a bug I need to fix.

No repair, they just rearm. Works just the same way as it works on planes.

No I don't think they can be repaired on the pad. It would be cool to have the indestructable hangar a repair place for planes though, vehicles too.

GVs can only rearm on the pads, they are not repaired. Thats pretty much the way it's been since the rearm pads were added to the game.
