1st i will only give u the list, than belowit the reason:

1. LA7
2. FW190D9
3. P51
4. F4U-1C/D
5. Spit IX

to 1.: why the LA7 u ask, pretty simple, its average speed up to 15K is probably the highest atm, and its climbs wonderful, it rolls real good (maybe a bit to good, i have read in the froum its as fast as the FW190) and its has a powerful gun array. Even over 15K its still fast enough to be dangerous. IF u wanna run with it noone will get once u managed it to the deck. For the usuall brawls in AH its a perfect match.

2. The D9, speed, climb, dive and roll, do i ahve to say more? Only plane u really have to fear is an LA7 at co-alt or higher. against the other birds u r able to run if u r out of options.

3. P51, it is still fast anmd dangerous, the guns are cool and have a pretty good ammo load. And not to forget its the fighter with the best forward view for deflection shots.

4. Its very close to the P51, fast deadly and can really take a punishment. It has too a good view forward for nice deflection shots.

5. Yeah the Spit, good climb, the Hispanos and the turning make it a real good plane for AH.

D-9/tied with the Yak 9T

Why the tie? Best plane on the ground is the yak. In the right hands it is awesome, so versatile. D9 is only their for speed and roll and climb. I feel the D9 is modeled nicely just the damn engine hits

The C-Hog, even totally eliminating Panzer and Ostwind kills, still has FAR more kills than the La-7 and a much better kill ratio.

The Dora kill ratio is also quite a bit better than the La-7.

P-51D now has a less than 1:1 kill ratio.

i didn't include the N1K1, cause this list was made from my point as D9 jockey. And i really kill a lot of N1K1s, seems most N1K1 rely on the the plane more than on the ACM or E management, which often is deadly. And last but not least the N1K1 is to slow to really bounce a D9.

In my experience, the La7's roll isn't even close to the 190.

Torgo is right.

While that list may be a Dora's most deadly opponents, its definitely not the "TOP 5 NON-PERKED AIRCRAFT (atm)"

A better title?

"TOP 5 NON-PERKED AIRCRAFT VS THE DORA (IMO)"

I haven't looked at the numbers recently, but the La7 is not even close to the top plane in the arena.

Sturm, why the Yak-9T ? Its very slow, and has only something like 25 rounds of ammo for that BFG. If you don't HO it, or furball with it, its a total no issue. Nothing but a target. Honest question, of why you think that.

In the hands of an experienced pilot it is awesome. Turns incredible great for furballs. 32 rounds of 37mm is small but only needs one to land to kill. And it is rather easy to get on someones 6 and hit htem with a quick burst. Supremo GV killer, I need not say more about that

Slow yes but slow doesn't always mean certain death. I watched my squad m8 bradys5 take off with vulchers all over and proceed to kill 4 targets. Odds were about 8-1 and we didn't take that base just from him flying the Yak "This is not the first time i have seen him do this in a yak". I do not use it for long distance flights but for base defense only. It is a smooth ride and the turning, heavy armament alone warrant it in the top 5 IMO.

Sturm, got ur mail and already answered.

Its real fun to see the Platzschutzstaffel in AH.

And i agree on the YAK, dam good plane below 10K, its a birdy that can turn even inside a SPit. And when i try to get one with my D9 its very hard, often the YAK can also get away due to ist turning. (All from the view of a dedicated D9 pilot, who tries to kill em).
