Spit dmg model

I find the spit is a bit to tough in AH.

It often needs 11+ 20mm hits to kill the bird. Especially the tail seems to absorb extremly hvy dmg without any effect.

I have now more than a few time hit a spit with 5-7 20mms pings to the elevators and rudder, but no part falls away.
Or the tail plane ripped with 10 20mm hits and nothing.

Today i even put 5 Hispano rounds into the far end of a spit, and the guy only lost one elevator!!! 5 Hispano hits even kill a F6 or HOG and those birds were much tougher than the spitfire.

Anyone else having such probs with spits? Or am i have only bad luck when fighting em?

P.S. i know it were only 20mms cause i use cannons seperatly from MGs.

Spits are incredibly vulnerable to 50 cal fire.  I don't know why, but a short burst from 6 or 8 .50s will easily shred the wings.  I don't what might explain this resistance to cannon fire you are talking about, maybe it was a lag issue.

no it's not the .50's urchin....
tail shots against a spit with 50's aren't that effective.....
but i have noticed if you get top down shot against a spit it will lose a wing even with a half second snap shot from .50's
