... even if you were getting HOed and ganged (and not whining about it theres the difference)
That's what keeps things interesting!
I just expect to be shot at every time the other guy can get his guns on me. I don't see HOing as a bad thing, just something to keep track of for future reference. The guys who pass up those shots on me are the ones I worry about.
Even a "reasonable" amount of ganging is ok by me too. I find 2-opponent fights to be quite enjoyable at times. In the part of the fight where I died in that film I easily could have just extended out of it, rather than turning back like I did. Or I could have extended out a bit to give me enough time to deal with the spit by himself. For that matter had I chosen to kill the spit first (before I shot at the F6), I might have been ready by the time the F6 realized what was going on under his nose and could dive in. Or, had I held the trigger on the F6 for just a tad longer before I worried about the spit... Who knows? Might have to give it another try...
Also, in regards to ganging, I have no idea what skill level/flight goals those pilots have. They may just want to land kills that they have trouble getting. They may just want to eliminate a threat to the base- capture they're working on. A 1v1 fight may not be something they're at all interested in. That's ok with me. If they keep having fun, they'll be back for more...
Those are the aspects/possibilities/differences that make/keep the MA fun for me.
