I'm currently using CH Pro pedals with my Cougar HOTAS, and, while they work ok, they just don't "feel" right matched with the Cougar.

Idly browsing FSPilotshop, I noticed these

http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_16&products_id=1072

they look great, but wondered if any of you are using or have tried them?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

At $550.00, I doubt if many folks will be using them here.

Wow, nice pedals but look at the cost.  I'm using the Saiteks and they're pretty good.  Wider than the CH and considerably cheaper than these metal ones.

If you're looking at spending that kind of money you might want too check out Simpeds. If I had the money the F16 peds are the ones I would get.

http://www.flugsimulator.de/hse/simped.htm The site is in German. There was/is one in English but I didn't find it right off.

Thanks for the suggestions, normally I wouldn't even think of spending so much on pedals, but the words "Christmas bonus" are being bandied about at work. <g>

Actually ran across the simpeds yesterday while browsing, looks like i'll go with them.

Will do a mini-review in a couple of months if there's any interest.

They are expensive, but I'm looking at it this way, here in Australia, I paid near $400 for the Cougar, the simpeds will cost $226 plus delivery, and I'm set for life then, all I'll need is new pots for the cougar every once in a while (or get the hall sensor mod done), plus, I can knock burglars out with the Cougar ;)

Doesn't help me get kills (even after 6 months on the HOTAS, I still think I'd get more kills using my old MS twisty, saw me through 8 years and lotsa kills), but feels great to fly with <g>

You know, I'm glad you brought them up in this thread.  I liked my Simped's very much.  I quit using them because the sim I was flying at the time could only use a single controller, and after the second modded Sidewinder FF that I had them connected to broke (hat switch buttons, which due to wear in the plastic parts that pressed them would have been difficult to repair) I gave up using the modded rig and went with a full CH rig.

AH has no such limitations...  I do like the proportional braking on the CH pedals (my older gameport simpeds doesn't have brake axys), but the pedals themselves are the most cheesy part of the CH setup.  Maybe I'll play some over the Christmas holiday.

Please let me know how you go with that Grue, I'll be placing an order for the simpeds very soon.

Thanks to all that replied.

I'm using those for almost 4  years now, for several hours a day. No problems so far.
