more realistic cargo for the C-47

The real C-47's in WWII could carry 27 commandos in full combat gear. Why can our C-47 only hold 10? Sure it would be harder to kill all of them but think of all the benefits.

The reason it carries 10 troops is because thats all thats needed to capture a base,the other 17 would be redundant.

not necesarily redundant as more backup... if 10 troops get killed then there are 17 more to take there place

IIRC HT said that if they used the realistic paratroop capacity for the C47, that they would make captures require 27 troops. It's more of a concession to the base takers than anyone else.

Yes, HT could raise the # of troops required to capture a base to 25 or more. And then yes the C-47 could carry its historic load. But then LVT's and M3's would no longer be able to capture a base. As they were not capable of carrying that many.

Its a minor nod to gameplay, and to those who capture with things other than the C-47.

But hell, if we get 27 troops in the C-47, and no raise in required troops then all you need is a C-47 and a jeep you can take 3 bases.

Not if HTC changes it so that a single capture takes 27 troops.

No matter what a C47 in the game carries, it will take one full C-47 to capture the field. He's said it's a gameplay consideration.

Perhaps change C47 troops to paratroopers, m3 and jeep to army, LVT to marines, and sdk-251 to German SS, making the para weaker needing all 27 to take a base, but everything else is regular?
