I logged into FA's forums for my yearly update this morning.  It doesn't take long because there are less posters than players  *smirk.

They have added exactly what you have wished for dhyran, the largest kill streak on a persons account and how many times they have achieved it.  mine reads 160kills but that was incorrect!  and probably bugged because i really did 250    so many years ago now though, a pointless exercise but i thoug0ht i'd mention it since we are on the subject.

For the argument I don't see how a record of kill streaks will make people fly any more timid than they already do.  You soon grow tired of it once you have done your level best.

another posting for people that want to be rewarded for their ability to run unless assured a kill.  wasnt this thread posted about 2 months ago and ht mentioned something along the "no, way jose, " lines.  this is a game about fiting, not running.  .
