Trains in strats
« on: December 05, 2009, 06:48:53 PM »
Drove,..yes drove a tank a few times to an opposing strat today.Twice successful with the third attempt in vain when the city/strat moved to the back of the country while in site :neener:
The bug however was while I was in the Radar and Flak complexes with the trains. They did not end the run sequence once they reached the complex in my presence(Stationary with a running train sound untill killed off). The soft guns shot back but even when I shot the trains to hell they continued with the running sound and even reappeared after being killed off. I found it a bit odd.Showed a train kill per car but even so it was rather different from the behavior of the trains from the old strat system.
Perhaps its not expected that a GV might really drive to one but I have been sick and nothing better to do.
I noticed that the radar structures repaired themselves while I was still on site within just a few minutes of being destroyed as well. The Flak complex behaved as pretty much like the old system damage :old:
I imagine its a work in progress with locations etc... Very neat stuff if and when we can engage them.
Best regards

I had the same problem with the factories repairing so quickly.  I had bombed a flak site from about a sector away, took down about 25% with an A-20...before I even landed it was back to 100%.  I drove a tank over there and took down their radar factory, but it rebuilds almost as quickly as you destroy it.

Are the guns on top of the flak towers destroyable?  I was nailing them with HE for awhile and they never went down.  I figured they might be as tough as shore batteries so I kept trying and could never kill one.

Just a Tip for reporting possible Bugs found online in the Arenas, that can go a long way helping HTC look for, find and verify the possible Glitch or Bug......

Always post the following where the Possible Bug Appears in:

ARENA
COUNTRY BASE ID or SECTOR of the MAP  & sometimes Time of Day it happened ( they do keep logs you know )

give as much in as little of words on what you experienced or what you was doing that may have caused the scenario to where the Bug / Glitch happened......
( A Bug or Glitch could be localized to a specific Terrain/Map only, or to  just 1 AirField or what not.....and not every single Map / Terrain HTC has in rotation )

if it is Plane, GV, Boat related:
post as much information regarding the platform you launched including
what Skin used,
what texture size you use,
what Screen Resolution you running at

your Video Card type , Drivers, and Video Settings at Clipboard before logging in, and in Game under options

and sometimes  ( most times ) offer top 1/3 to 2/3rd's of your DXDIAG report ( Direct X Diagnostics report )

just a friendly reminder  :aok

most people post new threads saying they found a Bug, but never report where, what Arena, or anything to help track it down........ just saying.....

also, if my memory is correct, their is a Sticky Post at the top of this forum, that explains exactly what is needed in a Bug Report ( least I think their is )

everyone appreciates your help in reporting new potential problems  :aok

edit: just checked, there is a Sticky at top of this forum, I just went into a bit more Detail on what to offer when posting a potential new Bug  ;)

not being funny TC, why would they need a dxdaig when the bug they posting about is about the game, and everyone gets it? Its not a error on just his pc, its everyone.

Strat rebuilds almost as fast as you bomb it.
and
Trains get stuck at strat instead of disapearing like they used to.

thats nothing to do with his system specs, or what arena he is in.

I know ya serious, Overlag.....  I should have inserted break-lines or something to differentiate the differing bugs/glitches/problems

or if it is to do with Online arena Play or a Map perhaps this:

and no, it porb or most certianly does not have anything to do with his PC............

but Yes, it very well could happen to be secluded to only one Map/Terrain or to one Localized area of a certian map.......

I was just trying to give a more detailed reason of whay one should include such information, when posting a Bug or glitch.....nothing more....

and if I am not mistaken both stickys are at the top of this forum describing what I posted here.......  ( one could say, I combined the 2 sticky posts and included it all here, and with a little more detail )

Thanks for your questioning of why I posted , Overlag  :salute

I've found what appears to be a bug with the terrain editor which may or may not be something to do with this. I've described it and Easyscor has confirmed it in this thread:- trains problem thread

so basically HTC when modifying these maps did the redo all button which seems to be bugged?

I wonder if its the TE thats the problem, or just a bug with the new strat itself? Odd.
