All Arenas Closed

Just got discoed and when I went to sign back on, all Arenas are showing closed.    :headscratch:

Now, I can't even run the program at all.

When I try to sign on, I get a message AH has stopped responding, Windows is searching for a solution.  After a minute, it says Windows could not find a solution and closes the program.

Seems that way to me, I can remember many time where he's had to go into work and an hour or two later the latest version is released! Naturally I get straight into teasing him via PM. :neener:

I still cannot run the game any longer.

Don't know what was in this latest patch, but it does not seem to agree with Win7.

Did you actually get a download? Doesn't sound that way from your first post.

You might have to uninstall/reinstall the game...probably porked a file when it crashed.

Or rename the folder old. Then download game and hi-res pack install. Try logging on. If it works then copy settings, skins, sounds, and terrains over to the new one from the old one and try it

There was some sort of conflict with the new patch, my Win7, and my Firewall.  I tried installing a fresh copy of the game and it still didn't work.  I finally had to do a system restore to yesterday, then re-download the new patch.  The game is now working again.

What a pain in the butt.  I am very much beginning to hate Win7 and CA Security Suite.  They have both been nothing but trouble since I upgraded from XP to Win 7
