BOMBER AI
« on: December 09, 2009, 03:06:17 AM »
Is the bomber AI set to making only "real life" rate of turns and am i flying to unrealistically if 1 of my bombers (on the inside of turn) can stick wit me in a turn and outside bomber drifts off to nowhere?  i just feel my turns have to be soo leisurely as if im trying not make gramma uncomfortable in the back seat just so the other planes wont blow up into hell flames. and AR 234 formations forget about it I try to slightly correct  through the bombsite an other planes have drifted  airfield distances  away(fat chance of my bombs landing anywhere near each other)...  my wish is if i rip my wings off i want my formation ripping there wings off too.(exaggeration but u get it)

Do you know what a coordinated turn is?  :D

I can usually line up on my target two sectors away but if you are off a little you can tap the J and the L trim keys to move the nose left or right respectively.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Yep, and Yep.

Go easy on the rudder and elevator. Bank the plane, add just a touch of rudder. Easiest may be to try it in External view, so you can see all 3 planes ahead of you.  Just bank the bird and hold it there, if you start adding too much rudder you'll see them start drifting. If that happens just hold the bank but no other inputs, and they'll drift back.

They are not fighters, slow and easy is the key.

Also it's generally better to turn the plane from a gun turret rather than the pilots seat when flying buffs. Just give it a little tap on the rudder and bring the bomber around slowly.

I can easily turn my formations around inside the base radar ring and have them calibrated and setup for my next bomb run.

The bombers aren't too limited in some areas, I can do a pretty nice chandel in most of them.
