Malware False Positive
« on: December 12, 2009, 05:22:07 PM »
I have gotten a false positive from my Avast! Anti-Virus four times in a row when trying to download the new HiRes textures. Is this just a glitch on my end? Or may there be a problem?

Manually update your Avast.  They had problem with one of their updates last week, but the latest update should fix it.

I had the same problem.  There's a topic started about it in the Hardware/Software section.

To get around it I had to-

- Delete the HiRes pack.  If it tripped the Avast thing, it's not going to install correctly.  You'll need to D-load another, but...

- First, clean out your Temp Internet folder, and TURN OFF AVAST!.  Then, download and install the HiRes pack before you restart AVAST.

-Make sure you don't forget to restart your AVAST when you're done...
