I have a simple request to the CM's and CiC's...if you're going to use OpenOffice for the FSO documents, could you please do a "file > save as" and save the files in Office format instead of .odt format? It would make things easier on everyone and negate the need for 2 separate documents to be emailed out (odt and pdf). I like OpenOffice on my Linux box but since I get Office for free via my job, my Windblows boxes have Microsoft Office on them and I don't have an odt converter installed...I know it can also be done by uploading the file to google documents and having it convert from there but...you lose the added content.

Sure I can do that. The PDF file does not work for you?

Never really used it (Open office) much before this past FSO and was sold pretty quickly when I found out it would convert to PDF. Have not touched MSWord since.

I use foxit reader for PDF. Someone sent it to me but I think it is free.
I can open several PDFs at once with in one window w/tabs which cuts way down on resource hogging.

AND I can annotate and edit copyrighted material. Hate it when someone sends me a diagram that won't work and I have to write 3 paragraphs when an arrow and a note that "won't this will fry the whole board?" will work better.
Then I get a reply of "how did you get past my Adobe security features?"

It also lets you box a part of a large drawing and print it. It is somtimes slower for printing whole pages that were originaly adobe, so I switch back to acrobat for that.

PDF works for me too...I have Acrobat Pro installed and I don't have any issue doing a copy and paste of the content from a pdf file...people with simple pdf readers might depending on what they use...I was just thinking about easing the "whine" load on you guys that have to generate these docs.

Take note: 15 MILE RADAR AND DETECTION RING RADIUS!  (Main arena is 12 mile) Seems those German scientists have been busy.
