Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I dont think there's gonna be any base attacking:

These new planes will be available in a separate WWI dogfight arena and will also be available for special events.

I don't think WWI AA went much beyond Maxims on tripods.
That said, I doubt you'll be attacking anything at 150 mph :D

Well, the SPAD XIII and the SE5a could probably hit 150 mph (or higher) in a dive.

I believe groundfire in WWI basically amounted to tripod mounted MG's, some heavier stuff which probably was more terrifying than accurate (like flaming onions), Archie (standard flak) at higher altitudes (which was so inaccurate so that it was mostly comical...comical, that is, until it hit) and, of course, every Tommy and Fritz within visual range would probably be taking pot shots with his rifle just to alleviate the boredom of life in the mud.

Much of WWI air combat stemmed from the importance of observation planes.

The fighter was developed from the need to protect or deny the observation plane the ability to spot troop movements, take photos, supply build ups, artillery spotting and nuisance bombing. Fighter vs. fighter combat otherwise had littel strategic value to the war effort untill they started carrying small bombs to harass trenches. Protecting or destroying the observation planes did. Observation plane crews had life spans measured in hours opposed to fighter pilots measuered to about three weeks.

In the WWI arena the heros would be the guys who can survive in two seaters.

On the other hand, some of them were criminally bad. The fact the RFC was still sending boys out in BE2Cs and FE2's in 1918 is beyond belief.
