different types of bombs
« on: December 14, 2009, 02:06:38 PM »
there should be different types of bombs but all non-nuclear, here is what I was thinking contact bombs which  are already ingame, incindary bombs which is a basic cluster bomb but  not as powerful and break apart imidiently after release, and delay fuse bombs which you hve 2 seconds to get out of the blast area after impact. tell me what you think. :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: :airplane:

Well, ok...but can't we change the fuse delay on the bombs already? And incendiary bombs are not always cluster bombs...napalm for example is incendiary and it's a single container.

The .delay command is for setting the delay between bomb releases when your .salvo is more than one.
I think it would be nice to have AP and HE bombs at least, like tank shells.

Thats not what hes talking about. hes saying the bombs shouldnt go off for 2 seconds after impact. Napalm is a good ieda as well are AP bombs.

That's a fuse delay Eagle.  :D

And aren't the bombs we have currently HE? Pretty sure a 250lbs bomb dropped from 1000 feet would pierce the armor on any tank unless it was a paintball bomb.

What about the para bombs? Deploy the bomb and a chute opens to slow its descent.  Of course that would mainly be useful if you could bomb the runway with the hope of putting the runway itself out of comission for a set period of time....kind of like dropping a hanger.....  :D  :aok

PTAB please for the IL2M3. Then we would all understand what an uber anti tank weapon it really was!

Would like to be able to set fuse delay, time to detonate after hitting ground, from .5-5 sec.  These bombs would not require the 1000 ft. arming distance.  Parafrag bombs would be nice to.
