Yup... I was waiting for this one.  Seems like someone watched the A-26 episode of "Great Planes" that was on again the other night.  You can almost guess what is going to hit the wishlist if you pay attention to what the Military Channel is showing.

What??? I didn't know they had an episode on it!  :frown: I'm sad I didn't get to see it now.. I actually was reading one of my aircraft of WWII books. I mean I've known about this bird forever but kinda forgot about it. When I saw it I thought to myself " one of the greatest attack planes in WWII and so much so they used it through Korea AND Vietnam?? This thing is a legend for a reason and should be added to the game"
I need to get a DVR.. Then I wouldn't miss good episodes like that  :furious

Yeah... It was on Tuesday night I think.  Not a bad episode as far as "Great Planes" goes... I have seen some that just replay the same footage over and over again, but this one was ok.

Every time I turn on the Military Channel, my ole lady knows I'm gonna be off playing a game shortly after.
Amazing you could actually recruit that much suck into one squad.

IIRC, that particular episode, while it did touch on the Invader's use in WW2 and Korea, it seemed that the major focus of the show was the Invader's service in Vietnam.

This thing would be like the A20 we have now, but on steroids.  With up to 14 forward firing .50 cals, AND 6k ord.... wow.

I say there are many other aircraft that need to be brought into the fray first.  The He111, Beaufighter, D520, Pa-2, Ki-45, and a whole host of others.

Ah yes, the A-26 Invader, exactly the right aircraft for re-enacting the Bay of Pigs fiasco, the CIA's non-finest hour.
